I confess that I do not know a lot about computers, especially creating a blog or website. I spent hours struggling to create a blog and then to lose it all. That one time I couldn’t find what I created and simply accepted that the computer swallowed it.
So after spending hours and hours creating my magnificent piece of history and posting one blog entry, I noticed something. Something prominent. A not so happy mistake with the consequence that I need to delete all my hard work.
For most of the duration of the lockdown I had been thinking: “Why not just leave it as it is?”. Nowhere in the entire introduction of myself did I state that I was a computer guru. Hi, I am Suné, the Computer Guru. No, definitely not.
My mistake was a spelling error. That’s why editing is so important. The website reads: “Blondebomshell”. Notice the missing second ‘b’ in bombshell. I had a blonde moment. I have a lot of them… it’s my natural hair color. Brace yourselves, more moments are coming soon.
I am keeping my mistake. Apparently the theme of 2020 is letting go, for me at least. So I am letting the mistake go, because I can’t fix it. I tried and failed, ha! Someday I will hire an IT specialist who can fix this for me. But not today! I am learning to live with my mistakes and conquering OCD. If that’s 2020’s aim, I will be a winner before December!
Dear readers, embrace your mistakes.
